Activities at the Center:
A day at New Creation Childcare is full of many hands-on activities including art, math, literacy, science, and outdoor play. New Creation Childcare has a supervised rest time from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. All children in attendance during those hours will be required to lay on a cot and rest quietly.
We feel the relationship between the staff and parents is equally as important as the relationship between staff and children. We value our parents and hope you are aware that you add a great deal to the success of our program. We do encourage you to join your child in various activities at the center. Please report to the administrator upon your arrival.
One of the many ways parents help this program is through fundraisers such as Butter Braids, candle fundraiser and collection of aluminum cans. The money generated through our yearly fundraiser is not used toward normal operating expenses. It is used for toys, games, puzzles and books for Christmas or new playground equipment or outside toys. We greatly appreciate your help in this area; however, you are not obligated to participate, if you choose not to do so.
Our curriculum is based on a Developmentally Age Appropriate thematic approach, which is intended to allow the children to participate in preschool activities such as; gross and fine motor development, science, math, prereading, social interaction, etc. We welcome your participation. The children really enjoy having their parents to share with their classmates.
The teachers and administrator are more than glad to talk to you concerning your child’s progress as you are dropping off or picking up your child. However, since this time is quite busy, please do not hesitate to request a private conference with your child’s teacher and/or administrator. Children ages 2 1/2 - 5 are academically evaluated to check their progress mid-year of our pre-school program. Each evaluation is documented for our files and for parents to take home.
If a parent or an employee has any concerns or complaints regarding New Creation, please schedule a conference with the administrator to discuss the matter...
It is our goal to implement a curriculum that is developmentally appropriate. This requires possessing knowledge of typical development of children within a particular age span, and appreciates the fact that each child possesses a unique personality, learning style, and family background.
Learning can be fun! It is our intent to put emphasis on the process, rather than the product, not to master any one skill in one area, but to spark their interest and enjoyment of the learning process.
